Background/History:
Ammit is a dog-like creature created by the Egyptian God of Death, Anubis, to feast on the hearts of evil dead people in the afterlife. Growing bored with his existence, Ammit communicated through dreams with a craftsman to design an amulet that would enable him to travel to the material plane once the inscription was read. His effort was flawed, however, in that it only allowed him to possess the body of the wearer of the amulet, transforming him into a mummy-like appearance with an animalistic rage. When summoned, he becomes a raging monster and a threat to any and everyone present until the amulet is removed.
Personality/Motivations:
Bred to punish, the creature thrives on causing pain and has little concern as to whether that pain is deserved or not. Theoretically, his disappointment over the failure of his amulet to bring him fully over from the spiritual plane helps fuel the rage he exhibits when summoned.
